About the Camp
In March 2010 Stud Beef Victoria set in motion a project to deliver a course for future cattle judges with instruction on the selection, classification, grading and judging of stud beef cattle.
The objective of the SBV Judging School is for students to gain valuable experience and specialist knowledge in assessing animals in accordance with standards of excellence, making weighted assessments of deviations from standards and the placing of animals in order of merit, providing reasons for such placings. This is achieved through hands-on practice of selection and judging. Students' communication skills are enhanced through practice in giving oral reasons.

2011 Stud Beef Victoria Judging School
The 2011 Stud Beef Victoria Judging School was held at the Geelong Showgrounds on the 20-21 August 2011 and attended by 15 selected participants nominated by their Breed Society.
Stud Beef Victoria was pleased to have gained the services of the very experienced Peter Falls as Over Judge for the School.
Participants provided overwhelmingly positive feedback on the program, and the Judging School will again be held in 2011.
